Graduate Student Support Group
A space for group members to provide and receive peer support around the challenges of being a graduate student at 麻豆最新出品. This group will select topics of discussion based on their own needs. This may include adjustment, work/ life balance, imposter syndrome, internship search, dissertation process, financial stress, burnout, isolation, and time management.

Mandarin-Speaking Group
This interpersonal process group is based on Dr. Yalom’s (2005) Interpersonal Group Therapy Theories. Our group has up to 6-7 members and meet weekly for 90 minutes. Process groups help members increase awareness of their thoughts and feelings in the moment and express them openly to each other. Group members offer each other support and feedback. Members can discover what roles they tend to play in groups and safely try out new ways of relating.- Wednesdays 3:00-4:30 PM, in-person, in Mandarin

Table Top Role Play Game Therapy Group
This group utilizes TTRPG gameplay from Critical Core to explore many aspects of mental health and build therapeutic skills that can be applied to everyday life scenarios. This may include improving communication and problem-solving skills, managing social anxiety, distress tolerance, improving confidence and self-esteem, and exploring aspects of identity.

How do I join a group?
- If you're interested in joining a specific group--make sure the time offerings work for you schedule first & then give us a call at 847-491-2151 to get started.
- If you are uncertain if group is for you and want support in navigating this, drop in for SDA (virtual/in person) and a member of the CAPS team will guide you through the process.
- If you're already working with a CAPS therapist, let them know and they can help you get connected with the group lead!
