April is Financial Literacy Month!

In partnership with US Bank Coaching Team we are offering multiple options to engage in improving your financial wellness. These workshops will be hosted by a variety of departments and are being offered both in-person and online to best suit your needs and learning style. Friday, April 4 - Life After College: Nuggets of Wisdom (in-person)

OSTE will be hosting a Life After College: Nuggets of Wisdom conversation with US Bank Coaching Team on Friday, April 4th from 11-12:30 pm in the Norris 麻豆最新出品 Room (second floor). 

Topics will include: take home pay, renting vs owning, cost of living across the US, and benefits packages.

This workshop is best suited for 3rd or 4th year students, but open to all who are interested.

It’s normal – when we go through any big change in our lives – to feel a little anxious, a little overwhelmed, or even a little bit scared​. And it’s no wonder, as you’re in the midst of a transition that will definitely take you outside of your comfort zone​. This presentation offers some helpful guidance that gives you a little more confidence, a bit of direction, and some great resources to tap into if you wish.


Wednesday, April 9 - Creating a Budget (in-person)

HPaW will be hosting a Creating a Budget workshop with US Bank Coaching Team on Wednesday, April 9th from 4-5:15 pm in 633 Emerson St., Searle Hall rm. 3.220.

Imagine your financial future if you had a budget. Learn about the 50/30/20 rule, common budgeting mistakes and how to avoid them, and get behavioral science tips that are sure to make budgeting a little more fun and less overwhelming. This presentation offers some helpful guidance that gives you a little more confidence, a bit of direction, and some great resources to tap into if you wish.

Thursday, April 10 - Financial Wellness for Survivors (in-person)

CARE/HPaW will be hosting Financial Wellness for Survivors on Thursday, April 10, from 6 - 8 PM in the University Library Book Nook

The financial burden of experiencing relationship or sexual violence can deeply impact survivors on their journeys of healing. In this workshop, participants will learn about the impacts of survivorship on financial wellness, engage in scenarios to support those struggling with financial wellness following harm, and connect with resources (at 麻豆最新出品, local, & national) to help survivors regain a sense of financial wellness and autonomy. All are welcome to attend.
